Sorrel is a character appearing in Season 1 of Space: Above and Beyond and the various tie-in books.

Biography[]
Sorrel is an In Vitro, assigned as the Chief Engineer aboard the SCV MacArthur, a Military Spacelift Command cargo vessel.[1]
In late July 2063 the MACARTHUR survived an attack by Chig forces while transiting from Groombridge 34. A Chig Destroyer attacked the ship in Blood Alley and was subsequently destroyed after a prolonged "cat and mouse" engagement.[2]
Sorrel supported CPO Keats when the Chief instigated a mutiny aboard the ship when Captain Lewelyn gave an order to cut power to a cargo bay that held In Vitros in stasis, which would provide the power needed to evade the Chigs. During the mutiny he killed both Captain Lewelyn and First Mate Potter. After the event Sorrel was arrested and went to trial for murder.
