First Mate Potter is a character appearing in Season 1 of Space: Above and Beyond and the various tie-in books.
He is portrayed by actor Calvin Levels.
Biography[]
Potter is assigned as the First Mate aboard the SCV MacArthur, a Military Spacelift Command cargo vessel. As the First Mate, or First Officer, he is the deck officer second in command to the Master of the ship. In late July 2063 the MACARTHUR survived an attack by Chig forces while transiting from Groombridge 34. A Chig Destroyer attacked the ship in Blood Alley and was subsequently destroyed after a prolonged "cat and mouse" engagement.[1]
Potter was killed during a mutiny aboard the MACARTHUR that occurred while trying to evade the Chig warship.[2]
