The Choef Mechanic is a character appearing in Season 1 of Space: Above and Beyond and the various tie-in books.

Biography[]
The Chief Mechanic is an In Vitro, assigned to the Generator Room aboard the SCV MacArthur, a Military Spacelift Command cargo vessel.[1]
In late July 2063 the MACARTHUR survived an attack by Chig forces while transiting from Groombridge 34. A Chig Destroyer attacked the ship in Blood Alley and was subsequently destroyed after a prolonged "cat and mouse" engagement.[2]
