Biography[]
Ashby is an In Vitro, assigned as the Engine Room Foreman aboard the SCV MacArthur, Military Spacelift Command cargo vessel.[1]
In late July 2063 the MACARTHUR survived an attack by Chig forces while transiting from Groombridge 34. A Chig Destroyer attacked the ship in Blood Alley and was subsequently destroyed after a prolonged "cat and mouse" engagement.[2]
Ashby supported CPO Keats when the Chief instigated a mutiny aboard the ship when Captain Lewelyn gave an order to cut power to a cargo bay that held In Vitros in stasis, which would provide the power needed to evade the Chigs. After the event Ashby was arrested and went to trial for mutiny.
